The main purpose of this paper is to develope the notion of convex contraction mappings to weak convex contraction mapping of order m (m 2), and prove that the class of weak convex contraction of order m is strong enough to generate a xed point on a complete metric space with a w-distance without condition of continuity at the xed point, and it can be replaced by relatively weaker conditions of k-continuity or S-orbitally lower semi-continuous. Using these concepts, we establish the new xed point theorem on a complete metric space with a w-distance. It extends some previous xed point theorems in this eld to convex contractions and more general convex contractive conditions in the setting of w-distances.
